Jackie Robinson
Jackie Robinson, the first African-American, to play baseball in the big leagues. He may have faced difficult challenges, all because his skin was a different shade. No one can detest Jackie's skill, he is in the Hall of Fame, honored as on of the best ever. Jackie helped erase color segregation, that is why his name is still famous today. |
I wrote this poem because I wanted to show the struggles Jackie Robinson went through and how he overcame them in a poem-like way. This relates to my topic because I'm talking about Jackie's baseball life and how he overcame racism. Jackie is in the baseball Hall of Fame today. He will go down as one of the greatest baseball players of all time.
